Ordering from Us
Thank you for choosing Outdoor Lights UK. Here’s what you need to know when placing an order:
- All orders must be placed through our website (www.outdoorlightsuk.com).
- We accept most major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal payments. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express.
- Upon completing your order, you will receive an email confirmation to the address provided during checkout. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact us to verify the status of your order.
- Once payment is made in full, a legally binding contract will be created between you and Outdoor Lights UK.
Cancellation of Orders
Cancellation by Us
While we strive to fulfill every order, we reserve the right to cancel your order in the following situations:
- Insufficient stock to complete the order.
- Issues processing your payment.
- Suspected fraudulent activity or misuse of our site.
- Errors in product descriptions or pricing on our website.
- Any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
If we cancel your order, we will notify you and issue a full refund for the purchase amount.
Cancellation by You
You may cancel your order within 60 minutes of placement for a full refund, provided it has not yet been dispatched. After 60 minutes, we may not be able to cancel or refund the order as processing will have begun.
Product Information
- All products are designed and tested to meet compliance standards by the manufacturer and we select our products based on their high reputation and quality; however, local regulations may vary. Please consult a qualified installer or local authority to ensure the products meet your area’s requirements.
- All lights are supplied ready for installation, complete with a bulb.
Products include a 90-day warranty, covering manufacturing defects. This does not cover issues arising from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow product care guidelines.
Shipping and Delivery
UK Delivery
- Standard UK delivery is free and shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48, with an estimated delivery time of 2–3 working days from dispatch.
- Faster shipping options, including next-day delivery, are available at checkout for an additional fee.
International Shipping
- We ship internationally, with shipping costs calculated at checkout. Delivery times and costs vary depending on your location.
- Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or local fees applied by customs in their country.
Dispatch Timeframe
Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Damaged, Missing, or Faulty Items
Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged, notify us within 4 working days of delivery with photographic evidence. Once verified, we will send a replacement or issue a refund at your request.
Missing Items
For missing items, contact us immediately. We will dispatch replacements within 2 working days of notification.
Non-Delivery
If your order is not delivered, please allow:
- 10 working days for UK orders.
- 18 working days for international orders.
If the item does not arrive within this time, we will dispatch a replacement or issue a refund, in line with Royal Mail’s guidelines.
Returns and Refunds
- Change of Mind: you can send back items for a refund if returned back in the same condition as received. Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipments.
Faulty Products: If a product is faulty within the 90-day warranty period, we will offer a replacement or refund. Proof of the fault and, in some cases, the return of the product may be required.
Payment Security
Our website and payment systems, including Shopify and PayPal, are fully PCI DSS compliant, ensuring that your payment information is secure. We accept most major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal.
Marketing and Privacy
By purchasing from us, you may receive marketing communications, including promotions and updates, in line with GDPR regulations. You can opt-out of marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails.
Local Compliance
While our lights are designed to meet general UK compliance standards, local regulations or installation requirements may vary. It is your responsibility to ensure installation is performed in accordance with these standards. We recommend consulting a qualified installer or electrician.
If you submit a product review or share an image featuring our products, you consent to us using this content for promotional purposes on our website and social media.
Taxes and VAT
- All UK orders include VAT at the standard rate of 20%.
- For international orders, no VAT is charged; however, you may be subject to local customs fees, import duties, or additional taxes, which are your responsibility.
